I often tell my staff that our tagline – “About the People. For the People.” – is more than just a tagline. It is my guiding philosophy and the philosophy of my campaign.
The job of a Congressman is not to work for his own interests, and it is not to work for the interests of his political party – the job of a Congressman is to work for the people of his district. John Linder has shown me that, and it is a lesson I will not soon forget.
Many politicians will try and impress you with their long list of endorsements from institutions. These are well and good, but I prefer to ask for your endorsement. Below you will find the endorsements of people from all over our district. Regular Americans who believe in our campaign.
If you have been impressed with what you have seen, please take the time now to fill out to form at the bottom of the page so that we can include you as one of my community endorsements. Thank you for your support.
Jackie Hewatt – Lilburn, GA
Each day we watch more of our freedoms and liberties disappear. Our Constitution is being shredded. Progressive-liberal democrats are spending us in to oblivion. The November 2nd election is crucial. We MUST elect a CONSERVATIVE, republican majority in the House. Rob Woodall is a true conservative and I trust him implicitly to represent me in Washington. God bless him and God bless America!
Vanessa Green – Dacula, GA
Rob Woodall has my total unwavering support to be the next U. S. Congressman from Georgia’s 7th District. I have met Rob a few times and heard him speak on many occasions during this campaign season. I have been more than a little impressed with his forthrightness his intelligence and his concern for his state! Rob strikes me as the kind of man who you can take at his word; his words driven by his integrity and honesty. I believe GA-7 can trust Rob Woodall to always make them his priority in his term in Congress. He will always do the right thing, first, last, and always. It is a honor to support his campaign!
Robert Bebee – Dacula, GA
It looks like everyone has expressed all of my thoughts and hopes for the country. Rob Woodall seems to have the right ideas. I would repeat Mr. H. Fritz, Patrick Malone, and all the others that have left a comment. It seems we are together on most of the issues. I hope that Rob can make something happen about the excessive spending, homeland security, and quit all the handouts to our enemies and our failed businesses. Rob, I believe can make a difference and bring the country back to the people.
Danny Klinect – Lawrenceville, GA
Rob worked hard as John Linder’s Chief of Staff and did a tremendous job supporting the mission and goals of Congressman Linder. Rob will continue to support the conservative ideas as his predecessor and help bring order to a chaotic DC. His support of education, fiscal responsibility, and important changes to immigration laws will benefit the constituents in our district for years to come. I am a public school teacher at Brookwood HS and fully endorse Rob Woodall for Congress.
Dave Emanuel – Snellville, GA
Anyone who questions why we need Rob Woodall in Congress need only read the first sentence in his response to a question about shrinking the national deficit, “To be fair, Republicans are not blameless.” As opposed to most politicians who respond to questions by blaming their opponent, or their opponent’s party, Mr. Woodall has faced the question head-on and responded honestly. It will take that type of clear, honest thinking to solve budgetary problems. For the past 20 years, members of both political parties have come to view entitlement programs and earmarks as means to “buy” votes. They seem to have forgotten that there truly is no free lunch, and ultimately, someone has to pay the tab. Having lost touch with reality, the spenders in Congress operate as if “judgment day” will never arrive. But ultimately, all debts have to be paid. That can’t happen if you continue to spend more money than you have. Mr. Woodall recognizes these facts as well as the urgent need for fiscal responsibility.
Tom Kirby – Loganville, GA
It was an honor and a privlege to compete against Rob for this nomination. While campaigning I had the opportunity to really get to know Rob. While Rob will be a champion for the Fair Tax, more importantly Rob will be a true conservative representing the 7th district. Rob will push for less government and restoring the constitutional controls the founding fathers established. I fully support Rob and I encourage all to join us in returning control of our government back to the people and send Rob Woodall to Congress.
Larry Hering –Dacula, GA
It’s not 1986 and Ronald Reagan is not president – not even close. It’s 2010 and we have a president and congress who think the American people don’t know what’s good for them. The flames of liberalism and socialism are engulfing the charters of freedom in our capitol and the hour is desperate. We need a firefighter who has already seen and fought these flames on behalf of the 7th district of Georgia. That person is Rob Woodall.
Jeremy Camp – Snellville, GA
DC needs pointed in a new direction with guidance so Vote Rob Woodall on August 10th. You will not be sorry you did and it will be worth it!
Natalie – Snellville, GA
After listening to all of the candidates I have determined that Rob Woodall is the right man for the job. I am a strict conservative tea partier and can not and will not settle for less in this years elections.
Donna Hill – Lilburn, GA
Rob has my 100% support because he understands that getting things done in Washington are not all about the rhetoric but require the fortitude to stand behind one’s beliefs and fight to the end for them. Rob will represent the 7th well in DC.
Ian Klein – Loganville, GA
I sat and spoke with Rob at an open house for several hours and quizzed him on subjects ranging from the FairTax to the Constitution’s limits on federal government and I was genuinely impressed with Rob’s mature and realistic approach and answers, which I found to be genuinely honest and respectable. Rob believes in representing his district and fighting for the right type of “change” in Washington rather than change at all costs. His FairTax commitment and leadership will be needed to advance any effort to truly reduce the federal government’s influence on our lives and curb deficit spending. I’m extremely pleased to endorse Rob and encourage you to vote for him!
Phillip Block – Snellville, GA
They said man would never fly, but he did. They said man would never go to the moon, but he did. They say the Fair Tax will never become a reality, but it will–if we elect people like Rob Woodall. That is why I am voting for him.
Chris Crock – Peachtree Corners (Gwinnett County), GA
Rob is a strong conservative voice that we desperately need in Washington, D.C. He has a deep understanding of the issues and knows what it will take to move our country in the right directions.
Leann Malone – Snellville, GA
Throughout this campaign, Rob has consistently demonstrated that while others talk smack, pander for votes, and play politics as usual, he WORKS. He stays until every last constituent question has been answered. He listens and responds thoughtfully and intelligently, not just with some scripted soundbite. Rob Woodall is the absolute best candidate to represent the PEOPLE of the 7th District and he has my unqualified support.
Mary Anne Lindskog – Lilburn, GA
MUCH to be done and Rob’s ready to do it! He’s heads above the other candidates to follow in John Linder’s solid footsteps.
Will D. Maddox – Social Circle, GA
Smooth transition, ready to go on day one.
Michael T. Finch – Lawrenceville, GA
I have met Rob several times and he stands for all I believe in. The Fair Tax, close the borders, stop hiring illegals, promote small business, equal pay for equal work, stop all the useless new laws, keep government small , etc. Neal Bortz said Rob is one of the smartest men he has ever met. What else do you want?
Laurel Grams – Lawrenceville, GA
Rob definitely gets my vote. I am so impressed that Rob is taking the time to go into the community and talk to normal, everyday citizens. He takes the time to listen and understand the isses the average citizen is dealing with. He is honest and genuine and represents the conservative values that are important to me.
Milton Slade – Lawrenceville, GA
Rob is one of the few that can talk the talk and actually walk the walk. I believe He’s an honest man that lives by his word and a man you can trust when it comes to doing what’s right for the people.
Nathaniel Thomas McGill – Lawrenceville, GA
Why? Because, whenever I meet and interview political leaders, they usually talk a-lot about themselves. Rob isn’t like this at all. In the two conversations I’ve had with Rob, he asked me more questions about me than I asked him! He got to know my fiancée and myself and even came out to a screening of my last film www.aninconvenienttax.com. Rob came see our film about tax reform because it discusses a problem with the tax code and he has a general and REAL interest in the topic. The FairTax was just one of the solutions in our film and takes no stance in what plan is best, but Rob took the time to discuss his points with me afterwards and I can tell you he’s an honest guy and not afraid to stand up for the issues he cares about even when there is only one guy listening. I know, because that one guy was me. I endorse and support Rob Woodall because even though our view points aren’t identical by any means, he’s the only candidate that took the time to support our film by attending and hanging around to chat.
Kevin Meuse – Buford, GA
I listened to him speak at a Rally at Wild Bills. I found him to be sincere and honest and a true believer in the FairTax initiative.
Sandy Murray – Loganville, GA
Rob Woodall is knowledgeable about HOW things work in Washington, but is not one of the “good old boys.” We need someone new, positive, conservative, and hardworking in the 7th District Seat in the House. That person is Rob Woodall!
Dave Klepinger – Lawrenceville, GA
Having worked with Rob for over 10 years as a volunteer for the FairTax, I have come to appreciate his dedication and support. He has always been there for us, and I’m proud to be there to help him become the next U.S. Representative for the Georgia 7th District.
Christopher Gray – Buford, GA
Rob Woodall does not need directions around Washington, DC. He’ll give them. We need a Congressman that will continue to stand up for freedom and families here at home. We do not have time for new introductions at the US Capital. He knows the process, he knows the people, and he knows how to beat down the oppressions of big government at all levels. His boss called out the healthcare legislation on the floor of the House for what it is. “…This has never been about healthcare, it’s about government.” said Rep. John Linder. Rob Woodall will continue the people’s message that enough is enough. I am proud to endorse a man of such trustworthy character, and know my children’s future is safe in his hands.
Fred Wilson – Duluth, GA
When visiting Congressman Linder in his DC office several week ago, I asked him who he was endorsing to replace him and why. Congressman Linder enthusiastically said, “Rob Woodall. And”, he continued, “Rob is definitely the man for the job and has made my job here in Washington have more meaning while he has been my Chief of Staff”. That is reason enough to put Rob on top of my list.
Further, I have been reading Rob’s emails and his web site. Take out the bad and bring in the new is going to be a tough job. I believe that Rob is young enough to light a fire in Congress – and old enough that John’s lessons have been well learned.
I have always heard that “talk is cheap” – however – the “talk” in Washington over the last year has gotten very expensive and we need someone to represent us that will lessen the burden on our children, our children’s children, and so on down the line. If spending and government keep growing at the rate that it is now, this country is going to be bankrupt before we know it. Someone has to cap this runaway money spill and I believe that Rob Woodall is the man to do it.
Rich Goodin – Lawrenceville, GA
He will carry the FairTax baton so John’s work is not in vain. He also understands how the DC gig works. Some may see that as a negative, I don’t. His experience is a big plus because he knows how the rules and how the game is played.
Edward Guzman – Duluth, GA
I have been a loyal supporter of John Linder’s for many years and have tried to attend Linder events and have visited his office in Washington. I met Rob Woodall at one of these events and had an opportunity to talk to him. Rob is very knowledgable about the issues and very enthusiastic in his demeanor and engaging.
Al O’Rear – Lawrenceville, GA
I support Rob partially because we need someone who acknowledges that the current Federal Tax System is broken! We have to have everyone pay who uses the infra-structure; this applies to both legal and illegal. There is no other way but the Fair Tax!!!
Jackie Hewatt – Lilburn, GA
We MUST put a stop to this bloated, out of control federal government that’s about to destroy the country I love. Strong conservatives like Rob Woodall are what we need to get the job done. I look forward to voting for him! Thanks.
Ben Satterfield – Lawrenceville, GA
I have had the pleasure of knowing Rob Woodall for many years. He has served this district along side John Linder selflessly and I am proud to offer him my endorsement. I know that we need someone who is ready on day one to fight for our conservative agenda in Congress, and I know that Rob Woodall is the man for the job.
James Cooper – Dacula, GA
FairTax, less government, and repeal of the Obama health care. I feel Mr. Woodall is the best conservative, and he lines up with my views.
Seth Weathers – Buford, GA
Rob will be one of the few people in Congress that cares about doing the right thing. And he has an incredible grasp of issues that is very uncommon!
Michael Gadd – Dacula, GA
I support Mr. Woodall because he is someone who wants to go to DC not to create even more laws, but remove the bad laws that already exist, along with reducing the size of Government which is to intrusive and over reaching. Limited Government. The FAIRTAX is the one solution that will work for all the people and fix many of the things that are broken such as Social Security and a convoluted tax system. Mr. Woodall can hit the ground running on day one and has the experience to carry the torch for the FAIRTAX. Thank you.
Patrick Malone – Snellville, GA
As a former resident of the 7th district I support Rob Woodall and would encourage all my 7th district friends to do likewise. His consistent position on the Fair Tax is encouraging to businesses of all sizes and taxpayers at all income levels. John Linder’s recent endorsement added more credibility to Rob’s ability to serve his constituents across a broad range of issues. His recent statements on Education confirm my own beliefs that the current economic challenges do not necessarily have to impact education badly. Rob seems to be the only one with a practical plan to do more with less.
H. Fritz – Independence, GA
We need honest people in congress. We also need support for the FairTax. This is the biggest hope for turning everything around. The other thing the people need is some one who will stand up for the people and stop all the entitlements that are being added at a rate so fast that it will bankrupt the people of the USA. The people do not have the money. If I want somthing in my household and can not afford it, then i go without. We must stop the spending in Washington before there is nothing left of the USA. Rob is the one who can help do this.
