I often tell my staff that our tagline – “About the People.  For the People.” – is more than just a tagline. It is my guiding philosophy and the philosophy of my campaign.

The job of a Congressman is not to work for his own interests, and it is not to work for the interests of his political party – the job of a Congressman is to work for the people of his district. John Linder has shown me that, and it is a lesson I will not soon forget.

Many politicians will try and impress you with their long list of endorsements from institutions. These are well and good, but I prefer to ask for your endorsement. Below you will find the endorsements of people from all over our district.  Regular Americans who believe in our campaign.

Each day we watch more of our freedoms and liberties disappear.  Our Constitution is being shredded.  Progressive-liberal democrats are spending us in to oblivion.  The November 2nd election is crucial.  We MUST elect a CONSERVATIVE, republican majority in the House.  Rob Woodall is a true conservative and I trust him implicitly to represent me in Washington.  God bless him and God bless America!

Anyone who questions why we need Rob Woodall in Congress need only read the first sentence in his response to a question about shrinking the national deficit, “To be fair, Republicans are not blameless.”  As opposed to most politicians who respond to questions by blaming their opponent, or their opponent’s party, Mr. Woodall has faced the question head-on and responded honestly.  It will take that type of clear, honest thinking to solve budgetary problems.  For the past 20 years, members of both political parties have come to view entitlement programs and earmarks as means to “buy” votes.  They seem to have forgotten that there truly is no free lunch, and ultimately, someone has to pay the tab.  Having lost touch with reality, the spenders in Congress operate as if “judgment day” will never arrive.  But ultimately, all debts have to be paid. That can’t happen if you continue to spend more money than you have.  Mr. Woodall recognizes these facts as well as the urgent need for fiscal responsibility.

It was an honor and a privlege to compete against Rob for this nomination.  While campaigning I had the opportunity to really get to know Rob. In the two conversations I’ve had with Rob, he asked me more questions about me than I asked him! He got to know my fiancée and myself and even came out to a screening of my last film www.aninconvenienttax.com.  Rob came see our film about tax reform because it discusses a problem with the tax code and he has a general and REAL interest in the topic.  The FairTax was just one of the solutions in our film and takes no stance in what plan is best, but Rob took the time to discuss his points with me afterwards and I can tell you he’s an honest guy and not afraid to stand up for the issues he cares about even when there is only one guy listening.  I know, because that one guy was me.  I endorse and support Rob Woodall because even though our view points aren’t identical by any means, he’s the only candidate that took the time to support our film by attending and hanging around to chat.

When visiting Congressman Linder in his DC office several week ago, I asked him who he was endorsing to replace him and why. Congressman Linder enthusiastically said, “Rob Woodall. And”, he continued, “Rob is definitely the man for the job and has made my job here in Washington have more meaning while he has been my Chief of Staff”. That is reason enough to put Rob on top of my list.

Further, I have been reading Rob’s emails and his web site. Take out the bad and bring in the new is going to be a tough job. I believe that Rob is young enough to light a fire in Congress – and old enough that John’s lessons have been well learned.

I have always heard that “talk is cheap” – however – the “talk” in Washington over the last year has gotten very expensive and we need someone to represent us that will lessen the burden on our children, our children’s children, and so on down the line. If spending and government keep growing at the rate that it is now, this country is going to be bankrupt before we know it. Someone has to cap this runaway money spill and I believe that Rob Woodall is the man to do it.

As a former resident of the 7th district I support Rob Woodall and would encourage all my 7th district friends to do likewise. His consistent position on the Fair Tax is encouraging to businesses of all sizes and taxpayers at all income levels. John Linder’s recent endorsement added more credibility to Rob’s ability to serve his constituents across a broad range of issues. His recent statements on Education confirm my own beliefs that the current economic challenges do not necessarily have to impact education badly. Rob seems to be the only one with a practical plan to do more with less.
